Dear Nathan:

Yesterday a year ago, I was 38 pounds heavier.
I couldn't see my feet
I had heart burn at nightime and I would sit up watching Jared sleep and wishing it was me.
I would fold and refold all your clothes.
I would dream of you on my arms everytime I sat on your rocking chair.
I was excited for the next day to come, the day I would finally after 40 weeks of long waiting, I would get to see your face and fall in love with you again. Yes again because I loved you already so much.

But Today is your 1st birhtday!
We have been together tthrough the good days and bad nights. ;)
In only a year you have taught me wonderful things, I'm so glad I've the opportunity to stay home and see you grow and be there when you learned new things.
Thank you for helping me see that the little things matter the most.  I'm so thankful for being there with you when you discover this world. It is like I get to see everything again for the first time through your eyes.
thank you baby for being patient with me learning to be the best mommy for you. I never knew my heart could feel so much love , thank you for that.

Party Time

Today we had a little party for our little man.

I still can't believe he will be one tomorrow.

Sometimes I wish I could freeze time but I also enjoy watching him learn new things everyday.

Jared came up with this:

Nathan had a rainbow cake, my awesome friend Jessica helped me (or I helped to be true) made it.

It is called "Rainbow cake" and it is so much fun to make .

Nathan had a cupcake and he loved it can you see?

Nathan's first haricut

We took Nathan to get his first haircut yesterday to the Rhein Neckar. We made an appointment when to grab something to eat while we wait and enjoy the nic weather. We had an hour and 20 minutes to wait so we went outside and let Nathan explore a little bit.

Nathan always wants to have a sip of our drinks, but we don't want him to taste sugary drinks yet. But we let him have one of our empty cups and he was sucking the last drop out of it.

after an hour and 10 minutes we headed back to Cut and Color Club and waited for our turn. Jared sat down with Nathan who had a puzzled look on his face.

This was the face he had pretty much through out the whole appointment.

He moved a lot but never cry or whine (99.9 percent of the appointment)

He liked the sound of the blow dryer but didnt want any gel on his hair.
