Luxembourg and Belgium

On September we took a trip to Luxembourg and Belgium. We have friends in Belgium and went to spent 4 days with them but on our way day we stopped in Luxembourg for the day. Luxembourg is a small country  and the capital also called Luxembourg was a neat place. He took a bus tour and sought most of the city. About 4pm we were headed to Belgium, our gps said it was 2 hours away but oh boy! we had like 4 traffic jams caused by construction. So the trip ended up being like 3 hours almost instead of two, I know that doesn't sound like a long trip but we were afraid that Nathan would woke up when we  were stopped in the road and start crying because that boy for sure hates his carseat.
We arrived just in time for dinner, our friend Kelly made tacos. But I'm not talking about ordinary tacos that you make when you want a quick easy dinner. She had made like 10 different toppings for your tacos, mexican rice and other things. I wish i could've taken a picture so you can see what I'm talking about.
Anyways we relaxed that night and talked and talked until it was time to go to bed. next morning we headed to Brussels, just Jared, Nathan and me. Dan went to work and Kelly homeschools five of her six children. She walked us to the train station and we were on our way to Brussels which is only 25 min away by train.
Brussel's Grand Place is beautiful, pictures can't describe how amazing that place is and I wish I had a nicer camera to capture all the beautiful places we have been. And this was one of those times when a really nice camera would have been nice to have.

August 2010

Summer in Germany is beautiful, we've been trying to take day trips and enjoying the weather. Now Nathan is 2 months and sleeping 6 hours straight. We only have to wake up once now and we feel so much better now and not like walking zombies.
My life now pretty much consists of enjoying my days with my baby and I couldn't ask for more. He is such a joy to be around. I love to see his smiles and all the new little things he does. I love you baby so much.

mmm can you see the waffle next to Nathan

July 2010

My little boy is a month old. It feels like he has been with us a lot longer than that, actually i can't remember my live without him. We are enjoying this time besides the fact that we are sleep deprived and all we think about is "sleep". Nathan sleeps for 4 hours straight then wakes up every 2 hours until he is ready to be up finally. I heard 4 hours is not bad but man I'm tired!
I know this soon will pass, but i dream with the day my baby will sleep through the night :)
So this month we were brave parents and decided to take our first trip as a family. And I say brave because Nathan strongly dislikes his carseat. Do you want to hear him cry? put him in the carseat. So we drove 4 hours to Garmisch to stay the weekend. Lucky us Nathan slept the whole four hours, we couldn't believe it.

Here are a couple of pictures of Nathan at 1 month old.

The last four months of our lives

In these last 4 months many things had happen, major events in our lives like having Nathan finally with us. Nathan was born on June 5th at 00:20 hours. He weighed 10 1/2 lb ( ya he was that big) and 22 in. I dont want to go into details since I have to share with you 4 months of our lives in this post. But let me tell you it has been hard and at the same time wonderful.

Most of the month of June we spent in the house just trying to figure out how to be PARENTS and how to take the best care of this liitle addition to our family. Jared's mom and dad came all the way from Albuquerque to visit us for our week. We had so much fun with them and They were a lot of help :).

Some here are some of our memories from June:

This is our first picture as a Family and I love it, Nathan looks so small and I was hurting and so tired at that moment.
Isn't this picture so cute :)
I love the following newborn picture of Nathan
I love how Jared fell in love with his son since the moment he saw him. I love my boys and I know Jared and Nathan will have a great relationship.
Since the first night Jared was very hands on, he would change Nathan, He would walk him around the hospital. Jared complained when it was my turn to hold him ( yes we took turns because we didnt want to let him go.)

And this is my favorite picture ever. I think is the cutest thing don't you?
